  FUNCTION OVERVIEW: • Lead the technical development and execution of new laundry projects • Translate business requirements to technical project specification plans • Lead the engineering project team through product development milestones • Make system-level engineering trade-offs • Accountable for new product cost, quality and production delivery targets • Manage capital and engineering expense budgets • Present project status updates to management and executive leadership ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage System Integration in Production Development Projects • Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality and performance targets to support the project plans and project execution • Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan guardrails • Lead technical design reviews for the project • Responsible to drive full system validation through use of predictive validation methodologies in concept, design and product validation stages • Ensures the parts/components can be integrated in a flawless way to deliver the expected performance outputs identified by the project team. • Responsible for driving Product Leadership through the WPD (Whirlpool Product Development) process driving the project through specific milestones and gates. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP certifications are a plus EXPERIENCE/PREFERRED INDUSTRY • 7-years depending on scope of project Engineering & Technical Design Experience: • Proven development and execution experience • Knowledge in given category • Project management • System design • System integration FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES: • Solid experience in Mechanical and / or Electrical Engineering; • Solid experience in Technical Project Management: • Proven development and execution experience • Project management • System design • System integration • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others; • Technical coaching abilities; • Experience in tooling and basic processes (injection moulding, metal stamping BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES : • Strong motivation and ability to drive things through independently and with guidance from the more experienced System Integrators • Analytical Skills for interpreting data and test reports • Sense of urgency and capability to work under pressure for multiple tasks are needed requirements • Strong attitude to the problem solving and to the critical thinking, proactive behaviour and capability to respect work commitment and deadlines • Willingness to travel to other locations of Whirlpool globally and suppliers • Fluent English • Fluent in Portuguese • Proficient in Spanish PARA SE CANDIDATAR A ESTA OPORTUNIDADE, É NECESSÁRIO CADASTRAR SEU CURRÍCULO NA ABA "PROFISSIONAL" > "CADASTRAR CURRÍCULO".
